The blinds come with an instruction manual and screws, allowing you to choose between an inside or outside mount installation. For an inside mount, the window shade should be at least 1/2 inch smaller than the width of your window, with a minimum depth of 2.8 inches required. For an outside mount, the window shade should be at least 4 inches wider than the width of your window.
